A technically-gifted and versatile defender, who cut her teeth in FC Barcelona’s La Masia, Fernández signed for London City this summer ahead of the club’s debut WSL campaign.

Fernández joined FC Barcelona’s La Masia at just 12 years old and steadily rose through the ranks before debuting for the first team in November 2018 at age 16 years, 9 months, becoming the club’s second-youngest debutant in its professional era.

At FC Barcelona, she is a five-time Primera División champion, has won the Copa de la Reina three times, the Supercopa de España Femenina four times and the UEFA Women’s Champions League on three occasions.

She has played for her country throughout her youth, winning the U17’s World Cup and the U17’s EURO. She also played for the Spanish senior team which came runners-up in the Women’s EURO 2025 in Switzerland last summer.
