Dutch defender Isa Kardinaal joined London City Lionesses from AFC Ajax ahead of the club’s debut WSL season. The 20-year-old broke into Ajax’s first team at 16, as one of the most exciting young prospects in European football.

Kardinaal has made over 50 senior appearances, helping Ajax win the 2022/23 Eredivisie title and earning their ‘Player of the Season’ award. Internationally, she has represented the Netherlands at every youth level, currently playing with the U23s.
