Jocelyn Prêcheur's Press Conference

On the last few games:

“It’s been a good week for the team, its encouraging and given us more energy to keep working hard.

“I think we are following the process, things take time to learn about each other, you cannot create cohesion in just two or three days.

“I’m talking about trust on and off the pitch. We are staying focused on our dynamic, and the positive results give us more energy to keep going.”

On Manchester City:

“This game [against Manchester City] is a great opportunity for us to compete with one of the best teams in the league. A great opportunity to play, improve, get some experience and test ourselves, and to show that we can compete.

“There have only been positive vibes for this game and the players and I are both excited.”

On Izzy Goodwin's form:

“Izzy [Goodwin] is a very hard worker. She is very generous on the pitch, and never complaining. She runs before I ask her too.

“I’m happy when a player works as hard as she does, and nobody has any doubts in her potential. Last season, she made her first full season without injuries, something we needed to work with her on regarding her history.

“She works hard in the gym to become stronger, and to give her more confidence on the pitch. She also works hard technically, working with the midfielders too on the training pitch.

“And she hasn’t reached her full potential yet, we can be ambitious with her.”

Team news:

“Freya Godfrey, she started to train with us this week.

"We will see to see if she is sharp enough to play on Sunday. For the others [Isa Kardinaal, Teyah Goldie, Poppy Pattinson, Daniëlle van de Donk, Corinne Henson and Maddi Wilde] it is going to be a little longer.

“For Daniëlle, the news is positive at the moment.

"Her knee situation is fortunately less serious than expected. She is working well at the moment to make her knee stronger, and she is very motivated to join the team as fast as possible.

“We hopefully will be able to see her on the pitch at the end of October, but it could be at the start of November, depending on how she evolves in the next few days and weeks.”
