London City Lionesses sign goalkeeper Anna Pedersen

London City Lionesses are delighted to announce the signing of Anna Pedersen ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Pedersen joins the Pride from Everton F.C. Under-20’s academy squad. The goalkeeper joined Everton in July 2020 and has featured on the bench twice for the Everton’s First Team. She was a part of the squad that were runners up in the Women’s FA Cup in the 2019/20 season.

She was with Leeds RTC from U11s to U16 where she then went on to sign for Huddersfield Town.

Pedersen also comes to London City with international experience where she made her U18 England squad debut in 2019 against the United States. The same year, she was selected for the UEFA qualifications tournament team.

Head Coach Melissa Phillips said, “Anna is a player with such promising potential. She plays with such bravery and has exceptional training habits. We look forward to how she will make our goalkeeping position even more competitive this year at London City.”

Pedersen spoke about her signing and said, “I feel honoured and delighted to have signed my first professional contract for LCL. After speaking to Mel, it was clear the club has a great vision, aspirations and values that I definitely wanted to be involved in. I can’t wait to get going!”
