Sheffield United scored twice before the break to condemn London City Lionesses to defeat on Sunday [31 March].
Despite a spirited performance from Remi Allen's side, it was the visitors who took the spoils at Princes Park as Sophie Barker opened the scoring with a deflected effort on the ten-minute mark, before Isobel Goodwin buried the game-winner a quarter of an hour later.
Lotta Lindström reduced London City's arrears in the second-half, with Lois Joel seizing possession in midfield and playing the in-form Finn into acres of space to score one-on-one against Fran Stenson.
The Pride continued to search for an equaliser in the remaining twenty minutes, with Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah testing Stenson with a headed effort following a Megan Campbell long-throw.
Sunday's defeat leaves London City six points above the relegation zone with two fixtures remaining, although Reading and Lewes each hold a game in-hand over the Lionesses.
With the international break next, the fight for survival will continue on Sunday 21 April as the Pride visit Southampton in the Barclays Women's Championship.
Allen's side will return to Princes Park a week later, hosting Lewes in a 2pm kick-off.
