Island Boys and Girls in Canvey Island become latest Sister Club

London City Lionesses are pleased to welcome the Island Boys and Girls Football Club as our latest Sister Club.

Based over on Canvey Island, the club was formed in 1966 and has been an FA Charter standard community club ever since.

Coached by our Fa qualified coaches and having our volunteers DBC checked, safeguarding and first aid trained, they aim to create a fun and safe place for children to come and enjoy their football.

The side currently have over 15 teams competing in the Southend Junior league and the Essex County Girls League.

The club takes great pride in the Boy and Girls soccer schools which with our ever growing and developing club help introduce new players and help create new teams every season.

Having founded our first girls’ team in 2006 they now have 8 girls’ teams and are one of the largest Girls football clubs in the local area.

We look forward to welcoming them down to Princes Park soon!
