The WSL season is nearly here.


In preparation for the 2026/27 WSL season, London City Lionesses will welcome Spanish heavyweights Atlético Madrid to the CopperJax Community Stadium for a pre-season friendly on Sunday 23rd August, kicking off at 12pm.

 

This is the only chance to see London City at home in pre-season and provides the perfect chance to see our new summer signings.

 

Arrive early and you’ll see why people don’t just turn up for kick-off.

·      Interactive games and challenges - including Top Bins, if you think you've got the shot

·      Music, giveaways and a proper pre-match atmosphere

·      Live interviews

·      Face painters and arts and crafts to keep the little ones busy

·      Keep your eyes peeled for giveaways throughout the day - Bang Bang sticks, fun player-themed giveaways, and our renowned spin-to-win game at half time

The London City Fanzone isn't an add-on. It's a huge part of the matchday experience.

Food & drink across the stadium

There’s plenty to choose from, whether you’re grabbing something quick or settling in.

  • Broomfields Bar & Kitchen and Cookies Cabin for hot food and drinks. More info can be found here on some of the food options available. This is subject to change.

  • Snacks and family-friendly options

  • You can enjoy a drink in the stands due to our participation in the expanded Fan Choice & Alcohol in the Bowl trial for the 2025/26 season, giving supporters the option to consume alcohol in view of the pitch at selected fixtures, including this fixture. Alcohol is available from 11am, but only alcohol bought on-site can be consumed in the bowl. Supporters can provide feedback on the trial by filling out our matchday survey, which will be sent out after the final whistle on Sunday.

 

Merchandise & matchday extras

This is your first chance to see London City players play in the new 2026/27 Home kit. If you’d like to get your hands on a 2026/27 Home shirt, you can place your pre-order in-person at the game. Just head to the Ticketing Reception where our friendly team will be able to help you place your pre-order.

 

Stay after the final whistle and welcome our new players properly.


Some of the best moments happen after the game ends.

  • Players will complete a post-match lap, thanking fans for their support.

  • Players return to the pitch, signing mini balls and launching them into the stands.

  • You’ll be welcomed from the moment you arrive- our friendly Matchday Assistants can be identified by their London City Jackets with ‘Here to help’ written on the back

  • Everything is clearly signposted, but if you aren’t sure, ask! We love to help. Our staff and “Here to Help” teams are on hand

  • A Family-friendly seating area is available in Block A and has a strict ‘No Alcohol policy

  • Remember to arrive early so you can fully enjoy the Fanzone and get your hands on exclusive London City prizes and freebies!


You don’t need to know anything before you come. Just show up - everything else is taken care of.

FAQs 

 

I require a wheelchair bay, what advice can you provide? There are eight wheelchair bays, with accompanying seats, in the Glyn Beverly Stand. If you need assistance, our stewards and permanent staff will be happy to help.

Can I bring my dog? Yes! Dogs are welcome but must stay on a lead (unless they’re service animals). Please note: dogs aren’t allowed inside Broomfields Bar & Kitchen.

Can I park at the stadium? There is no parking on site for matchdays. For travel information, visit our website below.
