Grace Neville has signed an extended deal with the Pride ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 FA
Women’s Championship season.
Neville joined London City Lionesses in it’s inaugural season after playing in Arsenal’s
academy and development squad, as well as Millwall Lionesses.
The 20-year-old defender became a regular starter in Phillip’s squad this past season making
17/20 appearances, in which she played a full 90 minutes in 13 of the matches. In the Pride’s
straight five-game clean sheet from 20 December 2020 until 28 January 2021, Neville played in
four of the matches.
Neville has also been an active member within the England Youth National team. She
participated in the U-17 UEFA European Championships where her team qualified for the finals as well as the U-19 Euros, reaching the finals again for a second time.
Speaking on Neville, Head Coach Melissa Phillips said, “Grace is an incredibly fit, durable
player that is always sound in 1v1 defending situations.
She is eager to grow her game in the attack and be a consistent threat going forward. We
are excited about the core group returning which Grace has been a big part of the
foundation at London City."
Neville shared her thoughts on her extended deal and said, “I am pleased to extend my
contract with London City Lionesses for this coming season. I am excited to challenge
myself individually and look forward to continuing my personal career in the game with
the support of the coaches and management team.”
