With that in mind, here is the key information covering the current international break.

The Girls in Green resume their Nations League campaign with confirmation that interim head coach Eileen Gleeson will continue in her role through December and in high spirits after securing head-turning wins over Northern Ireland and Hungary last month.

“We are very pleased with the calibre of candidate on our long list and with the ongoing process but we wanted to give stability to the team and Eileen for the upcoming games,” said the Football Association of Ireland’s director of football, Marc Cranham.

“Eileen has confirmed that she does not wish to be considered for the full-time role but is happy to continue in the interim role until a full-time head coach can be announced and she will resume her role as head of women and girls' football.”

While Gleeson has no plans to continue in the dugout beyond the end of this year, the national team has purred under her direction, scoring seven unanswered goals across two matches to open their Group B1 journey.

Moloney is one of three selected goalkeepers, joining Everton’s Courtney Brosnan and Lewes’ Sophie Whitehouse on international duty.
