Subway Players Cup Night in East London

Our Subway Players Cup campaign continues tonight with another away trip in this competition.

We face West Ham United at Victoria Road Stadium for a 7pm kick-off, looking to continue our perfect start to the League Phase.

And wherever you are in the world, you can follow every minute.

Tonight’s game will be streamed LIVE globally on our official YouTube channel.

We arrive having won both of our opening Players Cup fixtures without conceding, while West Ham have also made an unbeaten start to the competition.

There is a little more riding on the game tonight, with West Ham getting the better of us in our only loss of the 2026/27 season. Tonight offers an opportunity to put that right.

Here is your match preview.

London City

Momentum continues to build for London City.

Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Everton made it six consecutive wins across all competitions since our defeat to West Ham in September.

Our Players Cup campaign has been perfect so far.

We opened with a 2-0 victory against Leicester City at Meadow Lane before Daniëlle van de Donk struck in the 90th minute to secure a 1-0 win away at Ipswich Town, meaning maximum points taken with no goals conceded.

Let’s keep that run going.

Opposition Overview: West Ham United

West Ham have also started strongly in the new-look Subway Players Cup.

Rita Guarino’s side have collected five points from their opening two fixtures, beginning with a penalty-shootout victory against Tottenham Hotspur before beating Southampton 3-1 at home.

They also come into tonight with confidence from the weekend.

Kelly Gago scored the only goal as the Hammers recorded a 1-0 victory away at Crystal Palace on Sunday, giving West Ham their first away league win of the campaign.

With both sides unbeaten in the competition, there is plenty at stake in East London tonight.

Last Time We Met

We do not have to go too far back for the most recent meeting.

Our first away fixture of the WSL season brought us to Dagenham in September, when West Ham recorded a narrow 2-1 victory.

It remains our only defeat of the campaign so far. Since then, we have responded with six consecutive victories across league and cup action.

Tonight offers another chance to face the Hammers again and put that result right.

Today’s Kits

We are wearing our home kit tonight, with West Ham also in their claret and blue home strip.
