London City Lionesses were well represented across the international stage during the April break, with 12 players representing seven nations.

From landmark milestones and crucial goals to clean sheets and silverware, it proved to be a memorable period for many of our London City Lionesses.

Australia

Alanna Kennedy

Australia 5-0 Malawi

Kenya 0-2 Australia

Alanna Kennedy enjoyed a memorable international window as Australia were crowned FIFA Series 2026 Kenya Champions, defeating Kenya 2-0 in the final.

It marked a special occasion for Kennedy, who reached 150 caps for her country in style, playing the full 90 minutes and helping secure a clean sheet. She also featured off the bench in the Matildas’ dominant 5-0 victory over Malawi, playing just over half an hour.

England U23s

Isobel Goodwin and Teyah Goldie

England WU23s 1-0 Netherlands

England WU23s 3-0 Sweden

Isobel Goodwin and Teyah Goldie also lifted silverware, as England were crowned champions of the WU23 European Competition.

Both Young Lionesses started in each fixture and made key contributions at both ends of the pitch. Goldie played a vital role in a defence that kept two clean sheets, while Goodwin found the net in both matches.

France

Delphine Cascarino, Grace Geyoro and Wassa Sangaré

Netherlands 2-1 France

France 1-1 Netherlands

France endured a challenging break, recording a draw and a defeat against the Netherlands.

Grace Geyoro featured from the bench in the first fixture before starting the second and delivering a strong performance. Delphine Cascarino and Wassa Sangaré were named on the bench for the second match, with Cascarino coming on for the final half hour.

Finland

Lotta Lindström and Sanni Franssi

Finland 4-2 Slovakia

Latvia 0-1 Finland

It was a standout international window for Lotta Lindström and Sanni Franssi, who helped Finland secure two wins in their World Cup qualifiers.

Both players featured in each game, with Franssi reaching her 100th international appearance.

Lindström made a decisive impact against Latvia, coming off the bench to score the winning goal.

Italy

Elena Linari

Serbia 0-6 Italy

Denmark 0-0 Italy

Elena Linari and Italy produced an impressive set of results, including a commanding 6-0 victory over Serbia.

They followed this with a goalless draw against Denmark, meaning Italy did not concede across the international window.

Japan

Saki Kumagai

USA 2-1 Japan

USA 0-1 Japan

USA 3-0 Japan

Japan returned from their Asian Cup success to face the USA in a triple-header of friendlies, recording one win and two defeats.

Saki Kumagai featured in all three matches from defence, starting in Japan’s 1-0 victory.

Spain

England 1-0 Spain

Spain 5-0 Ukraine

Lucía Corrales experienced a special moment at Wembley, coming off the bench in front of 62,000 fans against England.
