We’re thrilled to welcome Chelsea’s Cerys Brown to London City Lionesses on a season-long loan.
The 19-year-old defender arrives at Hayes Lane with professional and youth international experience, including a loan spell with Barclays Women's Championship Watford and appearances for England at the UEFA European Under-19 Championship this summer.
"I just knew that I wanted to be part of this Club as soon as I had my first call with the staff here," explained London City's new No. 22.
“The Club’s values and ambitions are very exciting. I can’t wait for our first game being at home is really special and I hope to see as many people at Hayes Lane as possible."
Brown inked her first professional contract with the Blues in July 2023, having joined Chelsea’s Academy two years earlier.
The Worthing-born full-back made her senior debut in March 2023, appearing as a second-half substitute in a 3-1 Adobe Women’s FA Cup quarter-final win against Reading.
“I’ve learned so much from my training at Chelsea and I’m looking forward to putting that into action for London City this season," added Brown.
"I’ve really enjoyed my first sessions with the team – the girls’ quality has been excellent and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
