After three consecutive games on the road, we return to the CopperJax Community Stadium this afternoon as Brighton & Hove Albion visit Bromley for a 5pm kick-off.
It is our second home league fixture of the season, following that unforgettable opening-night victory over Manchester United earlier this month.
Since then, we have been on the road across both league and cup action, with last weekend’s impressive win at Charlton followed by a winning start to our Subway Players Cup campaign against Leicester City on Wednesday night.
Now, we are back in BR2.

We return to Barclays Women’s Super League action with momentum behind us.
Eder Maestre’s side produced an excellent performance at The Valley last weekend, running out 4-1 winners against Charlton Athletic to record our second league victory of the campaign.
That was followed by another successful away trip in midweek, with a 2-0 victory against Leicester City getting our Subway Players Cup campaign off to the perfect start.
The focus now switches back to the league.
After three successive away fixtures in all competitions, today brings an opportunity to
return home, play in front of our supporters and build on the performances of the past week.
Our only previous home match this season produced a memorable 2-1 victory over Manchester United.
Now, Brighton provide the next test.
Opposition Overview: Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton arrive in Bromley still searching for their first Barclays Women’s Super League victory of the new campaign.
The Seagulls began their season with a narrow 1-0 defeat against Arsenal before consecutive draws against Birmingham City and Aston Villa left Arturo Ruiz’s side on two points from their opening three league matches.
Those results do not tell the whole story.
Brighton created heavily against Aston Villa last weekend, registering 25 shots and an expected-goals total of 3.17 in a game they largely controlled before being pegged back late on. Summer signing Gabby George scored their goal in the 1-1 draw.
They also arrive with confidence from their midweek cup fixture.
Brighton opened their Subway Players Cup campaign with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Charlton Athletic on Wednesday night.
With both teams coming into this afternoon off the back of midweek wins, another competitive WSL contest awaits in Bromley.
Last Time We Met
The last meeting between the sides produced a memorable afternoon for London City fans.
Brighton took the lead through Kiko Seike after 23 minutes at Broadfield Stadium in February, but London City responded before half-time.
A Moeka Minami own goal brought us level before Freya Godfrey struck in first-half stoppage time, finishing a quick counter-attack by wrapping the ball into the top corner following Kosovare Asllani’s through ball to complete the turnaround.
The second half remained goalless as we held on for a 2-1 victory and three important WSL points away from home.
