December International Break: Who played and where?

Six London City Lionesses were selected by their respective national teams this month, with six earning game time in competitive and friendly fixtures.

With our Adobe Women’s FA Cup tie with Billericay Town just around the corner, here’s the lowdown on events from the December international break.

Republic of Ireland: Ruesha Littlejohn & Grace Moloney

  • Republic of Ireland 1-0 Hungary | Tuesday, 5 December

  • Northern Ireland 1-6 Republic of Ireland | Friday, 1 December

Ruesha Littlejohn started both of the Republic of Ireland’s fixtures, helping the Girls in Green to emphatic wins over Hungary and Northern Ireland.

The 33-year-old clocked just over two hours of game time in total, playing an important playmaking role as Ireland completed their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign with a perfect record.

Grace Moloney was an unused substitute for both fixtures.

Watch Ruesha and Grace take on Billericay Town in the Adobe Women's FA Cup on Sunday, 10 December at Princes Park.

We're thrilled to be offering family-friendly, festive football from just £1.

Jamaica: Izzy Groves

  • Jamaica 1-1 Panama | Thursday, 30 November

  • Guatemala 1-1 Jamaica | Monday, 4 December

It was a whirlwind week for Izzy Groves, who was named in the Jamaica squad for only the third time, made her debut against Panama, and went on to play every available minute through back-to-back Gold Cup qualifiers.

New Zealand: Paige Satchell, Grace Neville

  • Colombia 0-0 New Zealand | Saturday, 2 December

  • Colombia 1-0 New Zealand | Tuesday, 5 December

Paige Satchell appeared as a second-half substitute in each of New Zealand’s fixtures, creating a dangerous scoring chance for Jacqui Hand in the replay.

Grace Neville was forced to withdraw from the squad due to medical reasons (tooth).

Scotland: Emma Mukandi

Emma Mukandi was an unused substitute in Scotland’s draw with Belgium, but featured from the start as a central defender in her nation’s UEFA Women’s Nations League showdown with old rivals England.

  • Belgium 1-1 Scotland | Friday, 1 December

  • Scotland 0-6 England | Tuesday, 5 December
