London City Lionesses .vs. Coventry United (Barclays Women's Championship)
Princes Park Stadium | Sunday, 30 April at 14:00 (Highlights: FA Player)
Goalkeeper Hermione Cull is set to make her senior league debut for London City Lionesses, drawing into the line-up in the place of the San Diego Wave-bound Shae Yanez.
Cull, who joined the Club from Arsenal last summer, featured in the Continental Cup against Birmingham City in December, backstopping London City to a hard-fought victory at St. Andrew's.
Interim head coach Nikita Runnacles, who works closely with Cull as the Lionesses' lead goalkeeper coach, said: "It's obviously no secret that 'H' will step in for her league debut in the Championship. She produced a high-level performance earlier this season in the Continental Cup, making her teammates feel confident with her in goal.
"She's a young goalkeeper with tonnes of potential, the fact that the spotlight on her this weekend is really exciting. We're delighted to be able to give her this opportunity."
With Cull between the posts, the Lionesses approach the final game of the season hoping to sign off in style.
"Coventry United have known about their fate for the last couple of weeks," said Runnacles. "When you watch their performances, you see a spirited team who are trying to play the right way. We know that they will want to see themselves off in a really positive way, which means we have an important job on Sunday.
"It's crucial that we focus on ourselves and the time that we spend together. But we know Coventry United will want to finish on a high this weekend."
