Atlanta Primus puts pen to paper on new deal with London City

London City Lionesses are delighted to announce that Atlanta Primus has committed her future to the Pride, ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Last season, Primus proved to be an invaluable member to Head Coach Melissa Phillips’ front line, making 23 appearances and getting on the scoresheet three times.

Netting in crucial games such as Blackburn away and Sunderland at home, Primus was a constant threat to opposition defences.

Speaking on re-signing for the Lionesses, Primus said:

“I’m extremely happy to have resigned with London City for the upcoming season.

“I believe we have a great team and an opportunity to build upon the lessons we learned throughout last season.

“It’s a great environment with hungry and determined individuals so I’m excited to dive back into the grind with everyone!”

When asked her thoughts on Primus’ new deal, Phillips said:

“Atlanta is one of the most diligent professionals I have ever worked with.

“She is the model for hard work and meticulous preparation.

“She is a brilliant technician and has proved to add value in multiple positions on the pitch for us this season.

“Atlanta cares deeply about contributing to the values and ambition of London City.

“We are over the moon to have her in our squad for the season ahead as she is such a key member to our team and culture.”
