Sophia Poor joined London City Lionesses in July 2025, signing a three-year deal from Aston Villa after spending the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan with us. A product of Leicester City’s WSL Academy, she also features for England at U17 and U19 levels and boasts experience in the Women’s Super League, as well as a Women’s Championship winners' medal.

A confident, skilful goalkeeper, Sophia impressed Jocelyn Prêcheur, with the Head Coach saying: “I really believe in her and I am grateful that she trusts us. She represents well what we are trying to do at London City.”

Following her permanent move, Sophia was loaned out to Nottingham Forest ahead of the 2025/26 season to secure regular senior football and continue her development.
