Nicole Anyomi has joined London City Lionesses on a four-year deal.

The German international forward arrives following the conclusion of her contract at Frauen Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt after a five-year spell.

Anyomi joined Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021 and established herself as a key attacking player, scoring 60 goals in 130 appearances. The 26-year-old featured regularly in domestic and European competition and became one of the club's standout performers.

A graduate of Germany's youth international system and a UEFA Women's U17 European champion, she made her senior Germany debut in 2021 and was part of the squads that reached the final of UEFA Women's Euro 2022 and won bronze at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Known for her pace, versatility and direct attacking play, Anyomi has become one of Germany's most prominent forwards and has netted four times in 34 caps.

Born in Krefeld, Germany, Anyomi began her youth career with Borussia Mönchengladbach Women before joining SGS Essen in 2014.

She made her Bundesliga debut at just 16 years old in 2016 and became one of the German division top flight’s brightest young talents, making more than 70 league appearances and scoring 21 goals in 84 matches, helping Essen reach the 2020 DFB-Pokal final and earned her first senior Germany call-up during her time at the club.

Anyomi said: “I’m delighted to be joining this club.

“I always wanted to play abroad and to have the offer from this club with their project means the world.

“I’ve heard a lot of things about the project here, I believe I can take the next step.

“My best friend is Shekiera Martinez who was at West Ham and has now joined Tottenham. She has already told me about the league, London and about the country so I’m ready.

“The Women’s Super League is fast and direct and there is a need to be more physical and to improve myself.

“I have played in the Champions League and a different league so I hope I can add something new to the team.

“I’m really excited to test myself against some of the biggest clubs and can’t wait to get to work with the players and staff.

“My message to the fans is that I can’t wait to meet you and play in front of you all and score some goals.”
