Millie Farrow signs for the Lionesses

London City Lionesses can announce that striker Millie Farrow has signed for London City from Crystal Palace ahead of the new season.

Starting her footballing career with Chelsea, Farrow would be part of their title winning squad when she was just a teenager back in 2015.

She would then go out on loan for her first season with Bristol City, netting 11 goals in 16 appearances for the Robins.

Farrow then went on to play for Reading, and then Leicester City, where she won the Championship, making 17 appearances and scoring 4 times.

Last season, Farrow went onto net 5 times in all competitions, making 21 appearances for Palace.

On the national stage, Farrow has represented England at both U18 and U23 level.

When asked how to feels to have joined the Lionesses, Farrow said:

“I’m really happy to be here,” said Farrow.

“The first initial meeting I had when I came down to the club I had a great feeling, when I started to have conversations with Mel and the rest of the staff, and I was immediately drawn to the values at London City.

“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into things and hopefully there’s a title waiting at the end of the season!”

Speaking on the newest addition to the Pride, Head Coach, Melissa Phillips said:

“Millie has a wealth of experience across both leagues and understands the work required to be successful in the Women’s Championship.

“She is a brilliant competitor and she has the drive to take her game to the next level.

“She has the pace and desire to threaten opposition back lines as she was truly a thorn in our side in both meetings last season.

“We are delighted that she’s decided to join London City as we feel she is a key piece to really help elevate our team in the pursuit towards our ambition.”
