London City Lionesses are proud to confirm our participation in the expanded Fan Choice & Alcohol in the Bowl trial for the 2025/26 season.

Following a successful pilot phase earlier this year, WSL Football has announced that 14 clubs across both tiers of the women’s professional game in England will take part in the next stage of the trial, giving supporters the option to consume alcohol in view of the pitch at selected fixtures.

We’re delighted that the CopperJax Stadium has been named as one of the host venues, pending final approval from our Safety Advisory Group (SAG).

As a club rooted in community, we consistently seek ways to enhance the matchday experience for our fans. This trial reflects our commitment to a fan-first approach—offering choice, flexibility and a progressive step in line with supporter feedback.

The initial trial, which took place between January and May 2025 at four clubs, saw encouraging outcomes:

  • 66% of fans supported the trial’s continuation, with nearly half strongly in favour.

  • No safety incidents were reported across 19 fixtures.

  • Over 84% of fans rated their sense of safety between 9 and 10 out of 10.

  • Increased food and beverage spend per supporter.

  • Growth in overall attendances.

For updates on how this will be rolled out at the CopperJax Stadium, including fixture announcements and further details, stay tuned to our official channels.

Together, let’s continue to raise the bar for the women’s game.
