Kosovare Asllani stars as Sweden make the knockout stages of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

Last night, our very own Kosovare Asllani and Sofia Jakobsson secured their spaces in the knockout stages of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, as Sweden recorded a commanding 3-0 win over Poland.

Kosovare Asllani produced a vintage performance, leading with her typical class as her country brushed aside Poland.

In the 28^th minute, our captain crossed a pinpoint ball into Arsenal’s Stina Blackstenius to head home from close-range, earning a deserved 1-0 lead.

Asllani then doubled the lead in the 52^nd minute, guiding her header into the bottom left corner on her 201^st appearance for Sweden.

Lina Hurtig nodded a third for Sweden, who sit at the top of Group C without conceding a goal.

They face Germany on Saturday night, with both teams on six points with tickets to the quarter-finals.
