London City Lionesses are delighted to confirm the signing of Spanish international goalkeeper Elene Lete from Real Sociedad, with the 23-year-old arriving on a deal that runs until the summer of 2027.

Lete joins with an impressive CV for her age. She has made 50 senior appearances for Real Sociedad, establishing herself as one of the most consistent and commanding goalkeepers in Liga F.
On the international stage, she has represented Spain at every youth level – U17, U19, U20, and U23 – and has made her senior debut, keeping a clean sheet against the Czech Republic in a 3-0 victory.
In the 2021/22 campaign, Lete was awarded the Zamora Trophy, an award given by Spanish newspaper Marca, given to the goalkeeper with the lowest goals-to-game ratio in the Spanish top flight.
She kept 11 clean sheets, conceded just 0.6 goals per game, and played a pivotal role in helping Real Sociedad qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.

Jocelyn Prêcheur is excited to work with our new goalkeeper: “Elene has a lot of experience already.
“She is a great goalkeeper and will bring us her knowledge of the higher level.
“She is a very good example to follow for all of our young goalkeepers in the club, and we are very lucky to have her on board”
Speaking about her move to the English capital, Lete is excited to get started:
“I believe the club has a great project and a lot of ambition, and this move could be a big step in my career.”
Elene Lete’s arrival marks another statement of intent as the Lionesses continue to build a squad ready to compete at the highest level.
Elene Lete is a London City Lioness, here’s your chance to become one too.
All in. All season.
