Six London City Lionesses have been selected for international duty this month, with
everything to play for in the European Championship Playoffs.

Sofia Jakobsson and Kosovare Asllani continue with Sweden, as they face Luxembourg in the EURO Playoffs. Sweden missed out on automatic qualification to next summer’s tournament after finishing third behind England and France in Group A3.

Emma Mukandi – Scotland
Emma Mukandi returns to the Scotland fold after twelve months away, with Hungary their opponents in the EURO Playoffs. Scotland last qualified for the European Championships in 2017, exiting in the group stage.

Grace Moloney – Republic of Ireland
Grace Moloney is one of four shot-stoppers called up for the Republic of Ireland’s EURO Playoff tie versus Georgia. The Girls in Green have never qualified for the European Championships and hope to snap their streak after trailing England, France, and Sweden in Group A3.

Connie Scofield – Northern Ireland
Connie Scofield returns for Northern Ireland after missing the last international window through injury, drawing into the squad for a showdown with Croatia. Northern Ireland finished second in Group B3 to secure their playoff berth.

Teyah Goldie, Isobel Goodwin – England U23s
Away from the European Championship Qualifiers, Teyah Goldie and Isobel Goodwin have drawn into England’s Under-23 squad, with fixtures versus the Netherlands and Portugal on the schedule.
“We can’t wait for the new season to start and to get the players and staff together again,” said England U23 head coach Emma Coates. “Over the summer we’ve been working with the other European nations to develop the WU23 competition.
“We wanted to make it a more competitive experience for our Young Lionesses which will be hugely important for their development, so they can feel that added level of pressure whilst playing and wearing an England shirt.”
