Anna Pedersen signs new deal to stay at Princes Park ahead of 2022/23 season

London City Lionesses are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Anna Pedersen will re-joining the Pride ahead of the new season.

Pedersen, who joined the Lionesses back in the summer of 2021 from Everton F.C. Under-20’s academy squad, featured on the bench for the side throughout last season's campaign.

Speaking on her new contract, Pedersen said:

“I’m very excited to be staying at LCL for the upcoming season.

“I can’t wait to get back at it and to keep pushing on developing as a player and an individual as well as reaching our team goals at this ambitious club!”

Head Coach, Melissa Phillips, went onto add:

“Anna is an eager, young goalkeeper with a thirst for learning and developing her game.

“She is a diligent professional and managed herself tremendously well in her first year in a full-time environment while impacting our culture on and off the pitch.

“She is a well-rounded goalkeeper who made massive strides in adjusting to the physical level and speed of a first team.

“We look forward to supporting her development in the year ahead and delighted to have her on board in our pursuit.”
