Opponent Overview

It will be the Toffee’s second game at Goodison Park in the WSL this campaign, after mixed results in the early stages.

Brian Sørensen’s side thrashed Liverpool 4-1 in their opening day derby, but struggled last time out, losing 2-0 to Spurs.

At half-time, Everton will also introduce the first five inductees into their new ‘Everton Women’s Hall of Fame’ designed to celebrate and honour the players.

London City Lionesses: The Story So Far

For London City, the opening weeks of the WSL have brought tough lessons but also moments of encouragement.

The London outfit fell to Arsenal on opening weekend and lost to Manchester United in their second game of the season.

Despite the result against Manchester United, London City produced a much-improved attacking display, where they registered more shots than their opponents and had more touches in the opposition box.

Jocelyn Prêcheur’s Press Conference

“Last year, in the BWSL2, we had no easy games, not even one. In the WSL, the level is even better. It is definitely the best league in the world and of course the game will be tough.

“Offensively speaking, our game was so much better against Manchester United, the priority is to be more efficient in defence, so this is what we want to focus on at the moment.”

“We are spending a lot of time at the moment to learn more about each other, it takes time.

“Everyone’s commitment has been really impressive, and we can only keep improving. Everybody is really focused, it can only get better and better, and the day after tomorrow has to be better too.

“I’m fully convinced that the performances will come and then the points as we have a lot of talent in this squad.
