The 22-year-old returns to Princes Park for a fifth season in blue, having already made 72 appearances for the Pride.

“I’m very excited to back at London City after a very good season last year,” said the Englishwoman. “It’s good to have a fresh start with a new manager coming in [because] the team is really looking to push forward and challenge for the league again.”

Fitzgerald has been the epitome of consistency and versatility throughout her time as a Lioness, contributing to the Club’s success from the defence, midfield, and forward lines.

The Kent-born talent has been in preseason training season since the squad returned on Monday [17 July] and is already enjoying life under new First Team Assistant Coach Nicola Williams.

“It’s been very positive,” added Fitzgerald. “It’s been a good change, with new drills and exercises. There is obviously running involved, but it’s been a really fun and enjoyable start.”
