Lotta Lindström: 'Day by day, we are learning to play better'

Lotta Lindström's whirlwind start to the year shows no signs of slowing down.

The 19-year-old has already experienced the thrill of a deadline transfer, scoring on her London City Lionesses debut, and adding to her tally of international caps.

On Saturday [9 March], we caught up with our flying Finn to discuss her start to life in blue.

Lotta, it's been a busy week, what is it like training under Remi?

I have liked it, it's been nice. This week has been tough because we don't have a game and we have been training for more days in a row, but I have liked it. Our game is developing all of the time.

Learning to play in a new system, how has that been?

It's nice because I actually played in this system at my previous club [HJK Helsinki], so it hasn't been as new to me. Day by day, we are learning to play better.

It's been a busy month for you, personally, how was international camp?

It was nice to be in Spain [for Finland's Pinatar Cup campaign] and to see my friends. I like playing against good teams, so it was a positive experience for me.

We have a big game against Sunderland next weekend, are you looking forward to it and do you feel settled after your first weeks with us?

Yeah, of course. It is important for us to get three points and I'm looking forward to helping the team. It's been good. I like the team and I like the environment, so it's been easy to hop on.
