London City Lionesses sign Nikita Parris ahead of Women’s Super League debut

We’re delighted to confirm the signing of Nikita Parris on a two-year deal, with the forward joining us until the summer of 2027.

A proven performer at the very highest level, Nikita brings a wealth of experience, quality, and leadership as we prepare for our debut season in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

With over 70 England caps to her name and a place among the WSL’s all-time leading scorers, she adds real pedigree to our forward line and represents a significant step in our journey.

Parris arrives after a standout campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion last term, where she scored seven goals in 22 league appearances and helped the Seagulls achieve their best-ever top-flight finish.

Across a career that has included spells with Everton, Manchester City, Lyonnes, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Brighton & Hove Albion, she has consistently delivered at the top, winning major honours in both England and Europe – including the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022.

Her arrival speaks to our ambition. As we continue building a squad ready to compete in the top tier, we’re proud to welcome a player whose winning mentality and attacking quality will raise standards on and off the pitch.

Parris brings a dynamic style – aggressive, sharp and always committed to driving her team forward. Her track record speaks for itself, but it’s her hunger for the next challenge that truly excites us.

Speaking after signing, Keets said:

“I’m excited. It’s a very ambitious project and I’m really looking forward to meeting all the girls and getting started. The project here aligns with the challenges I want to meet and the goals I want to achieve. I’m going to give my all to make sure the team progresses.”

Director of Football Ronald Thompson added:

“I’ve known Nikita for many years through the England pathway. She brings top-level experience and a winning mentality, and she’ll be a brilliant role model for the younger players in our group.”

This is an important moment for us as we continue shaping a team with the talent, mindset, and identity to thrive in the WSL. Nikita’s arrival is a statement of intent, and we can’t wait to see her in action in a London City shirt.
