London City Lionesses, the only fully independent team in the Barclays Women’s Super League, today announce a landmark multi-year front-of-shirt partnership with Nike, setting a new benchmark for women’s sport.

The first-of-its-kind sponsorship for Nike and multi-year investment marks a significant milestone in London City’s evolution and reflects the growing commercial opportunity and cultural influence of women’s football - supporting the club’s continued investment in athlete and performance development, and local community engagement.

The partnership will introduce a distinctive expression of the Nike brand on London City’s shirt, featuring the ancient Goddess of Victory from whom the company takes its name. A symbol of courage, power and ambition, it reflects the spirit of an independent club built to challenge convention and raise expectations for women’s football. Bringing the symbol to the heart of the London City shirt connects the histories of Nike and London City through a shared belief in what is possible when ambition is matched by the courage to pursue it.

“London City is helping set a new standard for women’s football, on and off the pitch,” said Michele Kang, Owner of London City and Founder of Kynisca. “Nike’s commitment is powerful validation of where the club is headed and of the opportunity across the women’s game. This partnership is about more than a logo on our shirt. Together, we will continue raising standards for our players while connecting performance, football, culture, creativity and community in new ways.”

Nike Football General Manager, Camilo Andrade, said, “Women's football is shaping the future of football globally. Our partnership with London City Lionesses reflects Nike's long-term commitment to developing the game and creating more opportunities for the next generation of players and fans. We share London City’s vision to redefine what football can become."

The partnership will also include community activation alongside London City and support research and development for female athletes. Separately, London City and Nike have also agreed to a four-year extension of their existing technical partnership, beginning with the 2027-28 season.

Nike’s front-of-shirt branding will debut when London City face Manchester United on September 4, 2026 at 19:00.

The shirt is available to purchase on the button below or at the team store on matchdays.

Supporters who have already purchased this season’s kit can have the front-of-shirt logo added free of charge at the team store on matchdays.
