London City Lionesses are delighted to announce the signing of Kadidiatou Diani for an undisclosed fee.

The forward, 31, arrives from OL Lyonnes and has penned a three-year-deal at the club.
Known for her blistering pace, agility, and versatility across the front line, Diani becomes the sixth signing of the summer and adds attacking talent bringing strength to Eder Maestre’s squad ahead of their second Barclays Women’s Super League season.
Her experience and success aligns with the club’s ambition to compete for the biggest titles at the highest level.
During her time at OL Lyonnes, Diani won Division 1 Féminine titles, the Trophée des Championnes, and the Coupe de France Féminine.

The Parisian began her senior career with Juvisy (now Paris FC), where she netted 17 league goals across 38 games in two seasons before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. During six successful seasons with PSG, she helped the club win the Division 1 Féminine title in 2020–21 and, over a six-year spell, hit 92 goals for PSG, becoming the club’s third highest goalscorer of all-time.
Diani has represented France at every level and has become one of the country's most important attacking players. She has competed in multiple FIFA Women's World Cups, UEFA Women's European Championships and the Olympic Games. She was a key member of the France team that reached the semi-finals of UEFA Women's Euro 2022 and the quarter-finals of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. At youth level, she helped France become World Champions at U17 level back in 2012.
Individually, Diani has received widespread recognition for her performances. She won the Silver Boot at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and was top-scorer and named in the Team of the Season for the UEFA Women’s Champions League (2023-24). She has regularly featured on the Ballon d'Or Féminin shortlist, reflecting her status as one of the world's elite attackers.

On joining London City, Diani said: “I’m really happy to have signed here. It is an opportunity for me to discover a new country, a new city, a new team, and I can’t wait to start this next chapter.
“I’m excited to meet my new teammates and staff, to work at the training ground and the stadium, and meet the fans.
“It’s an independent club and very ambitious. It’s something which is quite rare in women’s football and something I believe in a lot.
“We don’t necessarily need to depend on a men’s club to compete at the highest level, win titles and have a lot of success. I believe in the project.

“I have gained a lot of experience and played in major competitions with my clubs and also with the national team.
“The WSL is very competitive and I’m really excited to start this new chapter.
“It’s a new, and big challenge, and I love challenges.
“We have objectives, to win as many matches as possible and quality for the Champions League. Winning a trophy for this club would be brilliant too.
“I think we are going to experience a very beautiful season.”
