Jamie-Lee Napier nominated for Barclays Women's Championship Player of the Month Award

London City Lionesses forward Jamie-Lee Napier is on the shortlist for the Barclays Women’s Championship Player of the Month Award for April.

The Scotland international played a crucial role for London City in the final weeks of the season and was rewarded for her efforts with a 17-minute hattrick versus Coventry United on 30 April.

"It's always good to score early on because it sets the tone for the match," Napier told reporters after the match. "It was nice for me to personally get the first goal and follow through with my hattrick. I'm buzzing.

"I just love playing here. We have such a close bond on and off the pitch, including the coaching staff. When you're a kid, it's all about having fun. So, it's great to be able to have so much fun as part of this group. It's a cool situation to be in.”
