London City Lionesses would like to thank Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Georgia Brougham, Megan Campbell, Lucy Fitzgerald, Emma Mukandi and Connie Scofield for their dedication and contributions to the club, as they will depart following the expiry of their contracts.
Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah will depart after two memorable seasons with the Pride. In her first season, she scored five goals in 18 league appearances, and in her second season, she netted six times in 19 league outings, playing a vital role in some of the clubs most defining moments.
She scored the title-clinching goal in our final game of the season against Birmingham, delivered standout finishes in both home and away wins over Southampton, and produced a spectacular long-range strike against Bristol City in our first home win of the campaign. Outside of league action, Boye-Hlorkah lit up the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with a stunning eight-minute hat-trick at Craven Cottage against Fulham.
Georgia Brougham featured in 18 Barclays Women’s Championship fixtures this season, and 19 last season. She scored three goals this campaign, playing an important role in our promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.
The defensive midfielder contributed at both ends of the pitch, scoring the winning goal against Sheffield United away, and wrapping a wonderful effort into the top corner against the Blades when they visited Hayes Lane.
Megan Campbell was a real leader on and off the pitch, bringing a wealth of WSL experience with her following her arrival from Everton in 2023/24.
She played a massive role in our promotion, featuring in 11 league fixtures this season. The Republic of Ireland international led by example, including scoring the only goal in a narrow 1-0 win over Bristol City.
Lucy Fitzgerald leaves London City Lionesses as a club legend and our all-time record appearance holder, having played well over 100 times for the club.
After six remarkable years with the Pride, Lucy’s journey with the club has spanned from our first-ever competitive fixture to helping secure promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League - a fitting end to a historic career with the club.
Following two years at the club, Scottish international Emma Mukandi departs after bringing commitment and professionalism every time she stepped onto the pitch.
She featured in 11 Barclays Women’s Championship games for the Pride this year, as well as four times in cup competitions.
Connie Scofield also departs after two seasons with the Pride. A true fans’ favourite and a bright presence in the dressing room, Connie brought infectious energy and positivity throughout her time at the club.
She featured in six league matches this season before spending the second half of the campaign on loan with Sheffield United.
Everyone at London City Lionesses would like to thank Chaney, G, Meg, Fitzy, Mitch and Connie for everything they have given to our club, and we wish them all the best in the future.
