Thank you and good luck: Five players leave London City Lionesses

London City confirm that Amelia Ajao, Danielle Carter, Hermione Cull, Miljana Ivanović and Charlène Meyong will leave the Club. We thank them for the part they have played on our momentous journey into the WSL and wish them well for the future. We shall always be proud of their dedication and commitment to our Club.

Amelia Ajao is set to depart London City after a year at the club, having gained experience with the first team, U21s and whilst on loan at AFC Wimbledon, laying the foundations for a strong career ahead. 

Former England international Danielle Carter leaves London City after spending two years with the Club, making 22 appearances and scoring three goals. 

DC brought a wealth of experience, quality and professionalism to the ranks at London City during her time here that made her an outstanding addition to the squad and well respected within the club. 

We look forward to supporting her as she pursues new opportunities in and beyond football.

Hermione Cull leaves us after two years, having joined from Arsenal’s academy in 2022 and at a special time for the club.

H featured in wins against Birmingham City, Crystal Palace and Portsmouth over her two years at London City and also gained valuable experience out on loan at Watford. 

Serbian international Miljana Ivanović arrived at Hayes Lane last summer, bringing her infectious positivity and optimism to training and matchdays.

Known for her direct running and explosive pace, Mili made ten appearances this season and wrote her name into London City folklore with a dramatic late winner against Blackburn Rovers – a strike that proved pivotal in our journey to the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Charlène Meyong, a tough and fearless midfielder, signed with London City last summer, having worked previously with head coach Jocelyn Prêcheur.

The Cameroon international notched up 24 appearances across all competitions for the club in our historic 2024/25 campaign.

Everyone at London City thanks Amelia, DC, H, Mili and Charlène for their fantastic contributions during their time at the club, and we wish them the best in the next chapters of their careers.
