Poppy Pattinson Pens New Deal

London City Lionesses are thrilled to announce that Poppy Pattinson has extended her contract, keeping her at the club until the summer of 2029.
The left-back, who made her England Women Senior debut in March 2026, becoming the first London City player to do so, joined from Brighton and Hove Albion last summer initially signing a three-year contract.
Injury curtailed the majority of the first half of her 2025/2026 campaign, but she made her debut against Chelsea in November 2025 and became a regular and consistent performer at left-back for the remainder of the season.
The defender arrived with seven seasons of WSL pedigree, having previously featured for Sunderland, Manchester City, Bristol City, Everton and Brighton, and earned multiple England youth international caps from U17 through to U23 levels before earning her maiden senior cap.
Pattinson said: “I’m really pleased to sign a new contract at this club.
“As a player you want to feel you are at a club where you can still learn and grow, I think I have a lot left in me to do just that.
“I think the squad has huge potential and I’m excited to be a part of that.
“Last season was a bit of a rollercoaster on a personal level. It started off with an injury which was a new challenge. I came back and then earned an international call-up off the back of that.
"I’ll always be grateful and never forget that debut came while I was at this club.
“Everyone is really driven to make this the best place possible and as a player you want to continue to do that.
“We can’t wait for next season.”
