London City Lionesses sign Chelsea FC Women's Jamie-Lee Napier

London City Lionesses are delighted to announce Jamie-Lee Napier has signed with the club ahead of the upcoming season.

The Scotland native is a product of Celtic F.C. Girls Academy where she broke into the First team before making a move to Hibernian Women's Football Club. She began to truly showcase her talent and put herself on the map when she joined Hibernian in 2018, competing in the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL). In 2019, Napier won two SWPL cups, the Scottish Women’s Cup, and was named Scottish Women Premier League Player of the Year.

Whilst still a teenager, Napier made her move into the UK where she signed her first professional contract for Chelsea F.C. Women for the 2019/2020 season, where she then headed north to join Birmingham City F.C. the following year on loan.

She comes to London City with strong international experience having also featured for Scotland Women’s National Team across all age groups.

Head Coach Melissa Phillips said, “Jamie-Lee is an experienced attacker with an incredible drive to succeed.

She is versatile on both sides of the ball and has the capability to score goals at the highest level. We look forward to working with Jamie to get the best out of her at London City.”

Napier shared her thoughts on signing with the Pride and said, “From speaking to Mel and some of the girls, I instantly knew straight away it was something I wanted to be a part of.

The club has big ambitions, direction and values which matched my own. I’m really excited to challenge myself and kick on at this club.”
