London City Lionesses is pleased to announce the arrival of defender Maddi Wilde on a season-long loan from Bristol City.
The 19-year-old was a breakout performer last term, making 15 first team appearances as the Robins earned promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.
Wilde, naturally a right-back, recorded her maiden professional assist in a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic in October 2022.
“I heard about the new set-up at K Sports [Cobdown] and it really made me want to come here,” explained the Englishwoman.
“It feels like a really nice environment to play in and I spoke to other players who felt the same way about the Club. I know what London City is trying to achieve and I’m looking forward to trying to help the team push towards that.”
First Team Assistant Coach Nicola Williams commented: “Maddi had a very competitive season with Bristol City last year, so we expect her to come across and bring that experience of promotion this season. With that, she’s the kind of person we want on board.”
