London City Lionesses can confirm that Lily Agg, Harley Bennett, Charlotte Fleming, Carly Girasoli, Katie Kitching, Anna Pedersen, Amy Rodgers, and Lucy Shepherd left the Club upon the expiration of their contracts on Saturday [1 July].
Agg joined London City from Charlton Athletic in July 2019 and quickly established herself as a key player. The Republic of Ireland international made 53 appearances in blue, scoring seven goals in all competitions.
Bennett captained London City through our inaugural fixture and has led by example ever since. The 32-year-old defender departs as the Pride's all-time leading appearance-maker and leaves a lasting legacy at Princes Park.
Fleming, Girasoli, Pedersen, and Rodgers exit after two seasons in the capital, with each making significant contributions as the Club recorded successive top-three finishes in the Barclays Women's Championship.
Shepherd departs after one season with London City, scoring once in 20 appearances following her transfer from the NCCA's Hofstra University.
The Club also bids farewell to Interim Head Coach Nikita Runnacles, First Team Performance Analyst Sophie Bone, Head of Performance Lizzie Fluke, and Physical Preparation Coach Kevin de Keijzer.
London City would like to thank our departing players and staff for their incredible service, each of whom went above and beyond for the Pride.
The Club will issue further squad and staff updates in due course.
