25-year-old left-back Poppy Pattinson joins London City Lionesses, bringing with her a wealth of WSL experience, having featured for Bristol City, Everton, and Brighton & Hove Albion in the top division.

Known for her high energy, attacking intent, and defensive intelligence, Pattinson offers a dual threat in both transition and possession phases.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Poppy to the club,” said Head Coach Jocelyn Prêcheur.
"She’s technically sharp, tactically mature, and brings the kind of experience and ambition we’re looking for.”

A former England youth international at U17 through U23 levels, Pattinson has long been regarded as one of the country’s top full-back prospects.
“She is a good player to have on and off the field,” added Director of Football Ronald Thompson.
“I've known Poppy since she was in the England U17’s squad, and at that stage her talent stood out. A combative defender who can also play, Poppy's ability to see the pictures as they develop in front of her allows her to make good decisions.
“The years of experience she has from playing in the WSL (7 years) will be valuable for us in our inaugural year in the WSL.”
Poppy is excited to be joining London City. She said: “Becoming a London City Lioness is very exciting; I want to help the team as much as possible and bring my experience and strengths to the club. I want us to finish as high as we can and make our mark in the WSL."
“I’m tenacious, I love to win, I’ll do anything to win, I love to get up and down the pitch and deliver crosses.”
With her pedigree and competitive edge, Pattinson is expected to play a key role in London City’s charge toward success this season.

Poppy is a Lioness, and you can be too.
