London City Lionesses are delighted to confirm the signing of Daniela Arques from Sporting Clube de Portugal, subject to international clearance.

The Spanish youth international midfielder, who has played her club football in Spain and Portugal, has penned a three-year deal.
After spending her early career in Spain, Arques joined Sporting in July 2025 and played 32 games and provided three assists last season, establishing herself as a key figure in the midfield.
The 20-year-old’s progression, which includes successive European titles at youth levels and with significant senior experience already gained at a young age, means she has established a strong foundation for the next stage of her career in London.
Arques began her development with SMX Athletic Club de Murcia, where she played from 2016 to 2021.
She then joined Alhama CF progressing into the senior team and making her first-team debut as a teenager. Her performances earned her a move to Levante UD in 2023, where she gained valuable experience competing in Spain’s top division.

Arques has also represented Spain at youth international level, winning the UEFA U16 Development Tournament in 2022 before becoming a two-time UEFA European Women’s U19 champion in both 2024 and 2025 where she became one of several players to win the U19 title in consecutive years.
On arriving at the club, Arques said:
“I'm really excited to be joining London City and can't wait to get started.
"Coming to the UK to play in the Women's Super League is a brilliant opportunity and I'm looking forward to developing as a player and as a person. Being surrounded by experienced players and learning from them every day is something I'm really excited about.

"I'm looking forward to working with Eder Maestre, the coaching staff and all my new teammates and doing everything I can to help the team have a successful season.
"I also can't wait to meet our supporters at our games in Bromley. I've heard great things about the atmosphere and I'm really looking forward to getting the season underway.”
