Charlotte Fleming commits to the Pride

London City Lionesses are pleased to announce Charlotte Fleming has signed with the club ahead of the upcoming 2021/22 season.


The 19-year-old joins the Pride from former FA Women’s Championship opponent, Leicester City F.C. Women, where she helped lead the Foxes to the league title gaining promotion to the Barclays WSL.


Fleming’s career began working through the ranks of Chelsea F.C. academy, joining the Blues at just 10 years old. She signed her first professional contract with London club in 2019. The midfielder won the 2019/2020 WSL Cup and the 2020-21 Community Shield with the defending WSL champs.


She also brings international experience competing with the U15, U17, and U19 England squads.


Head Coach Melissa Phillips said, Charlotte is a technical, fluid midfielder with a high level game intelligence and an edge on both sides of the ball.


She is a competitor looking to utilize her experiences to solidify her place within a first team environment. We look forward to supporting Charlottes ambitions at London City.”


Speaking about signing with London City, Fleming said, “I’m really excited. It’s a club where all the players and staff have a common goal and share the same values.
